It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year: Lots of Freebies!

So I had such great intentions of posting a lot this week but no such luck. But I promise to make it up to you by posting gobs and gobs of freebies!

Pre-planning officially starts next week but with meetings and open house we have about five minutes to work in our classroom. So I've been going in a few hours every day this week to get ready. Honestly the first day I walked in, and I really wanted to walk back out. For some reason my room always seems so much more organized and put together in my mind than it actually is. I stuck through the hard first few hours and then I got in the zone. The custodians have been kicking me out every night!

Now that I'm officially back into my school groove, and I just can't seem to get my mind to stop with all the ideas. I get home from school wanting to make and create- hence the reason I've been MIA from my new little blog. Hopefully tomorrow I'll have some pictures to show you what I've been up to. But as promised here's some of the things I've been working on (click on the links to download the PDF in google docs):

These are some of my special bins labels (plus some misc. money labels I used in calendar). Not shown: BEE folders, Media Center, and Fast Start Folders. Special Bin Labels @ Google Docs
Headers for schedule, daily menu, and specials schedule. Headers @ Google Docs

These are the schedule cards I use- just arrange in a pocket chart and you're ready to go! Schedule Cards @ Google Docs

Number word cards- I have these posted for the kids' reference. See below for the number word header. Number Word Cards @ Google Docs

Ready Confetti: I do not take credit for this super cute Night Before School Actitvity but I retyped it up and decided to share. I got the idea from this blog: Sunny Days in Second Grade ! Ready Fetti @ Google Docs

I made these reference cards for my kiddos to use during listening center (walkmen). I place a yellow smiley face on the correct side of the cassette and the kids follow the picture to insert the tape correctly. Listening Center Task Cards @ Google Docs

This year I decided to make a big focus wall involving a lot of different subjects. This document is a variety of headers you can choose from. Focus Wall Cards @ Google Docs

These are my calendar labels and job labels. You can check out a picture of these in action in my class tour page. Job and Calendar Labels @ Google Docs

This is something I'm playing around with for Daily 5 choices- still not sure exactly what I'll do but I thought I would share just in case it might be helpful to someone else! =) D5 Choices @ Google Docs

My CAFE labels as seen in my classroom tour. CAFE board labels @ Google Docs

Month word cards. Month Cards @ Google Docs

Color Word Cards. Color Cards @ Google Docs

Word Card Headers for the Days/Months words cards, Number Word cards, and Color Word cards (see above). Word Card Headers @ Google Docs

Whew- I'm exhausted! Hope you enjoy these freebies- please pass along to anyone who might find them useful as they set up their classrooms!

Let me know what you think!
Jessie

  5. I am trying to follow your blog but can't find where to do that on this page? There is a button that says followers but no place to become a follower. Thank you!

  6. OH my goodness - LOVE LOVE LOVE your ideas (and the name of your blog). Keep it up!!!! You might just inspire me to do this one day (although I'm not half as good at it as you are)!

  7. I love how SIMPLE these are. So many graphics made by teachers end up cute, but busy when posted throughout a classroom. These are just perfect to be cute but still easy for kids to reference and use, and they don't drive me crazy by looking cluttered!
